Notes From “Keep Your Love On” by Danny Silk
I’m not a fast reader. My spousal unit is. He speed reads everything.
I’ve been slugging away at Keep Your Love On by Danny Silk. It’s a great book! It is an easy read and yet so personally challenging a the same time. This book may be my Christmas gift to everyone this year! (Except for you, Janie!)
Below are a couple highlights (yes – I LOVE to highlight!)
- Practicing truth is a very vulnerable thing to do, but it is absolutely necessary when building any relationship worth keeping.
- Self control means that you can tell yourself what to do, and you can make yourself do it.
- When the pillar of responsibility is strong in a relationship, it’s like having a GPS. You are both confident and relaxed because you have a plan, an inner compass, that can be relied on to help you to respond with love and powerful choices in any circumstances.
You’ll probably hear more from this book. I’m lovin’ it!
