For the Sake of His Name

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

I love Psalm 23. I love it’s strength and peace.

“I shall not want” That gets me every time! I usually find myself “wanting” too much. It reminds me to be content with what I have.

“He restores my soul” I love that one too! I love that God is in the restoration business.

“He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

For His name’s sake…

I’ve been praying that lately. For the sake of your name on the earth, God – restore our country! For the sake of your name on the earth, Jesus – lead Favorite Husband and me in paths of righteousness!

It’s powerful. It’s strength. His name has been before a moment of our time was even created and it will be long after we are gone. His name!

For His name’s sake…

It continues to stir me in a deep place.
